Preparing for the Journey

Preparing for a long boat journey, is quite different from what I imagined.  I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this!...it's MESSY!!  It's amazing how many little details there are in preparing to sail the big blue.  Thankfully, our boat (Liahona) is pretty well equipped, for the most part, just a few missing items necessary to get going, but, I was completely shocked by the amount of totally unnecessary things we had on board.  Wow!!??

So, without further ado, here is a little looksie at what we're up to today.

  I will spare you all the gory details of having to deal with changing the hosing to the head (toilet). No one, even the meanest, ugliest, nastiest kind of person should ever have to endure that kind of torture!...just saying....IT AINT FUN!!!

The good news is, all the hard work we're doing now, will make for much better, and safer cruising when we're done, and that's a big relief!
