Down to the wire...

It's one week away from our departure date, and it's really getting down to the wire.  Every time we turn around, there's something more to do.  Some things we knew about, some we didn't, but apparently, this is pretty normal for what we're about to embark upon.  At any rate, we still have a LOOOOONNG list of things to do before we leave, but for now, I thought you might like to see what it looks like to have your boat totally torn apart...enjoy!

Just call us the "Beverly Hillbilies" of the sea!!  LOL  We had to remove all the floor boards to get to the wiring systems of the boat, to install our new chartplotter/depth sounder/GPS unit.  I think it took Neil and Mike (our boat mechanic) at least 5 hours yesterday, just to figure out HOW they're going to be able to run the wire.  This boat was built in 1989, and has never had any updated wiring done, so another channel has never had to be made...until now...lol.  They finally figured out what needed to be done to run the wire, so today, it's actually under way, and looking pretty promising....DARE I JINX IT, by making such a presumptuous statement!!??   Ha ha  I will have more pictures tomorrow or the next day when it's all done, so you can see it looking all pretty again. :)

That's pretty much it for our adventures for today....feasting this week on WORK, WORK, WORK!  Hopefully next week will be feasting on Pina Coladas (virgin, of course) on the deep blue, enjoying the wind and waves!!
